The Power of Perseverance (And How to Develop It)

July 5, 2017 by Brian Clark

When I came up with the idea for Further along with the tagline “Keep Going,” I was thinking of the human drive to constantly improve. No matter the fits and starts or how slowly change happens, the idea is to keep pushing to be the best version of ourselves.

Within that big-picture drive are the personal projects where the work is done. In that sense, “keep going” also refers to the ability to persevere in the things we want to accomplish. If we don’t find the motivation to continue with our individual goals, then the overall aim of personal growth is defeated.

This week we’ve got another Further original, this time from me. I’ll share with you how I struggled with perseverance in my younger years, why it likely became a problem, and the event at the age of 31 that fixed the issue (at least in one major area of my life).

Hope you enjoy:
